Kildonan Park Pavilion

Summary: Green light for new pavilion dressing rooms

Further to minute NW/01/10 of the North West Area Committee Meeting held on 21st January 2010, Dublin City Council intends to proceed with the proposed upgrading of the changing pavilion for Kildonan Park in 2010.

The total grant amount from central Government funding is €325,000 of which €250,000 is from the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism (DAST) and €75,000 is from a RAPID top-up grant. We are advised by the DAST that we will receive €200,000 of the allocation of their funding. Additional funding from DCC will be required as a condition of these grants. Until City Architects have completed their design and we go to tender, we cannot be certain of costs.

City Architects made a preliminary assessment of the design requirements and are to provide the Parks Division with a design proposal by the end of February. They will then advise us as to whether the design proposal requires a Part 8 Submission which ordinarily take approximately five months.
