Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST)

This organisation is the backbone of the community response to people with addictions in the Finglas area. It operates out of prefabs in Welmount Road which will be replaced this year by a new building which has now gone through the planning process. Methadone is dispensed at the clinic in Welmount and FAST is not involved in that. As long as I am an elected representative, I will support this organisation on conscience grounds. How could a representative look at themselves in the mirror in the morning havingh tried to twart that group? As you know there are very few votes in supporting those directly providing support to those plaged by addiction which does change the neural transmissions in the brain on a permanent basis.

Their report was launched last week and the pictures show the good humour and high morale there.
