Finglas Safety Forum

The Finglas Safety Forum took place on the 11th May at 3.00pm and was well attended as usual. Dublin City Councils Dog Warden gave a very informative presentation to the meeting.

John Bennett Co-ordinator of the Local Drugs Task Force asked that the
Finglas Safety Forum consider nominating some community representatives to
attend the Drugs Task Force meetings.

Dublin City Council and a representative from the CYC & Youth Service gave
an update on this years summer projects.

Superintendant Dave Dowling and Inspector Peter Duff gave an update on
Garda activities since the last meeting including an update on Head Shops.
It was noted that the Head Shop in Finglas village had closed.

Next meeting is scheduled for September and a work plan of the Safety Forum
for the coming year will be discussed and agreed. This work plan will form
the basis of a Finglas Community Safety Strategy.
