Road Crashes and teenagers
There has been a spate of deaths among young teens following single car accidents late at night – early morning. It is important to keep this in perspective and not change the law until the inquests have indicated what factors may have been involved in the causes of deaths. Alcohol, boy-racers, antisocial behaviour, other drugs, tiredness and driving without a full or any licence may be factors but it is sensible to await the evidence in a coroners court before demanding changes to laws that may be adequate at present. Factors other than laws may be more important.
