Pat Rabbitte

If offered the choice of stealing a few TDs from the Labour Party, my first choice would be Pat Rabbitte. I first noticed him as UCG and then USI President way back in the early 70s. I find him a very impressive TD and person. I regret that the Mullingar Accord did not work but the government of Ireland will be strengthened by the presence of Pat Rabbitte. I was never a fan of communism and gthought that the Soviet Union was evil in the way citizens were treated. That is the reason I have never supported communism. I write this so that I do not get a pile of whattabout e-mails.
However, Pat Rabbitte is an example of a premier League politician bobbing about in a sea of mediocrity. I hope my approval won’t damage his reputation too much!
