Hospitals in RoI in financial trouble – Beaumont among them

Hospital overspending accounts for €120m of this figure, with the figure at the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick at over €14m alone.

The HSE says it now has to freeze all but critical vacancies to deal with the escalating pay costs.

The other hospitals that have massively overspent are University College Hospital Galway (€8.6m), Tallaght Hospital in Dublin (€7.5m), Cork University Hospital (€7.1m), St Vincent’s in Dublin (€6.2m), Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda (€5.6m), Beaumont in Dublin (€5.3m) and Waterford Regional (€5.3m).
