Brian Moore – Best TV commentator

Brian Moore of Halifax is the best commentator on the international
scene. He calls it by the rule-book and lets the watcher know what is
happening and where the referees do not either know or choose not to
apply the rules (in rugby, pompously dubbed the laws). Brian wasa
great hooker and magnificent competitor. He is also a fine analyst
writing in the Daily Telegraph. Brian played for Old Crossleyans where
he went to school, Nottingham, Harelquins and Richmond. He was world
player of the year once and won three grand slams. He is up in my top
ten players in my lifetime. Pity he was not born in Ireland. He also
has refs qualifications which is the likely reason why he is so
precise on the TV.
