Mick Clifford does MARC COLEMAN

Last night Senator Averill Power of FF was on the show. Her Senate Bill to ban discriminatioin against non-heterosexual in school teacher appointments in denominational schools is something I support. People
with long memories will remember the Eileen Flynn case in Wexford where a teacher (EF) was fired from a Catholic school for living in sin.

The Irish Times columnist and education consultant Brian Mooney was really good on Education as is no surprise. He works at Oatlands College in Stillorgan and knew some of the guys who were in Primary
School with me. Former Minister for Education Niamh Bhreathnach was as usual her inimitable self. She was a good Minister for Education for five years under Albert Reynolds and John Bruton. As minister she
focused on rectifying educational disadvantage and tried to focus resources towards poor areas to “Break the Cycle”.

Mick Clifford was in the chair. Mick Clifford is well – Mick
Clifford!. Google him and note his insights. Great guy.

By the way, Vincent Browne was very good in Wednesday’s Irish Times on
FG, Lowry and Denis O’Brien.
