Good weekend for Europe

The election of Francois Hollande and the liquorice all-sorts in
Greece is good for Ireland and for the unemployed in Europe. It is
clear that without debt forgiveness in parts of Europe the Euro cannot
hold. Compromise and common sense may break out. If that happens – and
it will – Michael Noonan will have a greater opportunity to
renegotiate. Maybe it might not be all Frankfurt’s way but now a
little Michael’s way. ┬áThat of course does not allow Ireland further
budget laxity. We have not reformed anything like enough. The IMF will
still force the political partnerships to do what is necessary.

Brendan Howlin is the key man now. Interesting ………..
