Tesco as destination for food exports from Ireland

At Tesco, we are very proud of our support of the Irish food industry.
This support extends from small local suppliers to larger companies
who supply their produce to our stores across the world. A recent
independent report by Indecon Economic Consultants has found that
Tesco internationally is the second biggest destination for Irish food
ahead of the US, Germany or France purchasing €705.8 million worth of
Irish food annually. This figure represents 9% of all food and drink
exports from Ireland and means that Tesco is the second biggest
destination for Irish food exports ahead of France, Germany or the US.
The report also found that Tesco’s contribution to the Irish economy
is worth €2.7 billion annually.
