Cricketer John Mooney should not apologize for a cold hearted tweet on Mrs Thatcher’s death

Not speaking ill of the dead is traditional in Ireland. John Mooney’s tweet on the death of Margaret Thatcher was rough and dismissive but is fair comment to many people. It shows the deep distaste of many in “there is no such thing as society” and other crude utterings Mrs Thatcher.

Cricket and other sports administrators should recognise that citizens are entitled to political views. It seems to be ok to be polite and conventional but not ok to show gut feelings on a person who was hard hearted to say the least.
So back off John Mooney and leave him with his true emotions and views.
