Baldoyle Primary Care Centre and Planning

Question:

“To ask the Regional Manager give a timeline for the construction and completion of the Baldoyle Primary Care Centre and will he make a statement on the matter.”

Cllr. Gerry McGuire

Response:

The HSE have identified Baldoyle as a location for the provision of a new Primary Care Centre (PCC) via the operational lease mechanism.  The developer which has been selected in this location is a company called Centric Healthcare.  A site has been identified which is accessible off the Grange road which satisfies the needs of all parties involved.

However, the developer is not in a position to proceed in preparing and lodging a planning permission application for the proposed new centre until Fingal County Council have finalised the Local Area Plan (LAP) for the Baldoyle/Stapolin area.  The closing date for comments on this LAP has passed and we expect the LAP to be finalised in the near future.  The HSE expect that an application for planning permission for the proposed development will be lodged by the developer within 5 months of the LAP being finalised and published.

The construction commencement and construction completion dates for the proposed centre will only be confirmed should the developer receive a final grant of planning permission for the proposed centre.
