Glasilawn Traffic and parking issues

Minutes arising from the Traffic Advisory Group meeting dated 26th April 2012.
ORDER: Noted. An update on the public consultation regarding the
implementation of a Traffic Management Plan at Glasilawn Avenue and
Fitzmaurice Road was given. The members noted that since no outcome
was amenable to the majority involved and unless a solution to prevent
all day parking at the shops or Fitzmaurice Road is implemented, that
the City Council does not have the resources to pursue the issue on an
ongoing, continual basis. The members requested that Roads Maintenance
provide a report at the next meeting on the ramp replacement programme
for the North West Area. The members requested that Roads & Traffic
Department provide a report at the next meeting on the procedure for
reinstatement of openings by public utility companies following
completion of works.

by Greyhound in the 3rd and 4th week of their service, it appears that
the vast majority of customers are now aware of the revised collection
dates and are availing of the service.

3.30pm outside the Department of Education and Science, Marlborough

Buses in Northwest

We heard a good presentation from the 19 bus campaign and Derek Keating of Dublin Bus at the North East Area Committee.I have asked that the 19 and 19A be re-instated at rush hours only as a compromise in response to public demands.
