Funding Dublin for Tourism

Can the Manager please detail funding by the City Council to Dublin Tourism over each year since 2005 including budgeted funding in 2010.

CITY MANAGER’S REPLY:
The following amounts were paid to Dublin Regional Tourism:
2005 – €240,000
2006 – €253,500
2007 – €266,175
2008 – €266,254
2009 – €266,254
2010 – €240,000
The figure for 2010 refers to the budgeted amount.

Budget 2010

Public sector pay cuts

Up to €30,000 : -5%
€30,001 to €70,000 : -7,5%
€70,001 to €125,000: – 10%
Then up to 200,000 -: -12%
Then -15%

This represents – €1,250 for those on €25,000
– €3,000 for those on €50,000
– €7,500 for those on €100,000
These reductions are on top of the average 7% pension levy cut last May – meaning that public sector employees have taken a big hit.
