Finglas Leisure Centre is located on Mellowes Road, Finglas, Dublin 11. The centre manager is Philip White.

Children’s Swimming Programme
The swimming programmes are very successful and as they are often fully booked we have added extra programmes in the current year. We have introduced Irish Water Safety Awards for the pupils and it has proved to be a major incentive for every pupil. The swimming programmes take a break for Christmas and resume in January. On the last day before Christmas each group has a fun session free of charge.
Advanced Children Swimming Programme and Life Saving
The success of the children’s programme can be seen by the amount of children passing through to this stage, they number around 80 children at this point.
Adult Swimming Programme
These cater for a mixed group of learners and improver group. There is a high success rate with the adults. These programmes continue throughout the year.
Schools
A total of 19 schools attend the centre for their own swimming programme as part of the school curriculum. We will have an increased number of schools in the New Year using the pool. The pool will be fully booked in the New Year for all these slots.
Secondary Schools
2 secondary schools use a mixture of gym and swimming pool.
Colaiste Ide
The local collage providing courses in the Finglas area also use the pool during the college year.
Groups
There are four special needs groups also attending the centre.
Aerobic Classes
There are 18 classes ongoing at the centre these are operating at a very high attendance level from Monday to Saturday. Some places are available and the morning classes are building steadily.
Birthday Parties
These consist of pool time and a room for games and treats provided by the families. This is a healthy inexpensive way of having a party for children.
5 A Side Football Pitches
Pitch bookings are available Monday to Sunday. The price has been reset to allow for groups to get use of the pitches at an affordable price during the off peak times.
