Halappanavar HSE enquiry

Any enquiry into a medical controversy, if there is one, should be
carried out by entirely uninvolved individuals. That means that there
can be no element of espris de corps or other psychological mechanisms
that could influence decisions or attitudes. The HSE and the
Department of Health is in error in this case. That is to infer no
bias on the part of staff at Galway but to point out that entirely
uninvolved people would be better. Mr Halappanavar has already made
the point. Where is the respect for his wishes?
