HSE Response re. Lefroy House, Marlborough Street, Dublin

The Salvation Army run Lefroy House which provides the Nightlight and emergency beds service. Following flooding at Lefroy House, the Salvation Army have been very responsive to the situation and worked in partnership with the HSE and Focus Ireland to make alternative arrangements for the provision of services.

The HSE Crisis Intervention Service put a contingency plan in place in partnership with Lefroy House, the other voluntary providers who provide services to the Crisis Intervention Service and also with the private provider.

There were sufficient beds to meet service needs last night and there was minimum disruption for the service users. The service from Lefroy is relocating temporarily to another premises today and normal service will resume this evening.

The HSE Inspection and Registration Service have been informed of this interim measure.
